Ive been using my new 7878 for about 2 months, and love it except for one pesky problem.
I am getting a Hi-Temp Warning when the unit isnt hot. Chili night, windows cracked, and about 60 degrees in the car in the morning and the cd player wont work. The radio will, but the CD player will not. If I press "Eject", the face slides down but the disc wont eject, and I cannot get the door to close. After about 5 minutes, it closes automagically and plays fine.
If I have no disc in the drive and it displays Hi-Temp, it does not allow a disc to be inserted, and still remains in the open state, until it closes itself, then it works fine.
Im near Philladelphia, PA, and it has been HOT this summer, but the CD player works fine when hot. It just doesnt work when this message pops up, often in cooler climates than when used.
It ONLY happens right after I turn the car on. It doesnt happen every time. The stereo is wired correctly, It gets plenty of ventilation.
Anyone else see this? SHould I take it back for repairs?
Thanks
Jeff
